Cattle do not die by the curses of crows | Kahin kawon k kosne se bhi mor marte hen |
Can the dry bones live | Kahin murde bhi zinda hote hen |
Stars are not visible by sunshine | Kahan raja bhoj kahan langra teeli |
An old dog learns no tricks | Kahin borhe tote bhi parte hen |
Abstain from a gnat and swallow a camel | Kori haram lukhmah halal |
He who handles pit is bound to defile his fingers | koilon ki dalali mian moun kala |
One is content in poverty and another happy in his riches | Koi maal-e must, koi haal-e must |
Cut an oak and plant thistles | Koloh kaat or mogri bandna |
Penny in the pocket is the best companion | Ganth ka paisa bhi kaam aata hai |
One’s own burden feels light | Gae ko apne singh bhari maloom nahi hote |
Nothing can make a fool wise | Gadha peney se ghora nahi hota |
Only those who dare risk a fall | Girty hen shasawar hi medaane jung main |
Do not renew old grievances | Garhe murde na ukharo |
Sweet words alone do not butter the bread | Gur khene se moun meetha nahi hota |
Nothing but evil can come out of evil | Gandi poni ka ganda shorba |
No one is a hero to his own valet | Ghar ki murghi daal brabar |
Who will buy a pig in a poke | Ghar ghora nakhas mol |
Dry bread at home is better than roast meat abroad | Ghar ki sookhi bahar ki chickni se bhali |
Let by-gones be by-gones | Gai guzri batain jane do |
Time past is gone for ever | Gaya wakht phir hath nahi aata |
Whatever has been done can not be undone | Gaya hai saanp nikal , ab lakir peeta ker |
The Jackal’s evil fate drives him towards the city | Gidar ki kambakhti aay tu shaher ko bhagta hai |
He knows one point more than devil | Wo tu shetan k bhi kan katarta hai |
Gone is the goose that lay the golden eggs | Wo din gaye jub khalil khan fakhta uraya kerte the |
As plain as the nose on one’s face | Hath kangan ko aarsi kia |
