| One eye witness is better than ten hear says/seeing is believing | Ankhon dekha mana, kano souna na mana |
| That city cannot prosper, where ox is sold for less than a fish | Andher nagri chopat raja takke ser bhaji takke ser khaja |
| Eyes withdrawn, property gone | Aankh michi or maal doston ka |
| Man is mortal | insan faani he |
| The ends crowns all | ant bhale ka bhala |
| All’s well that end’s well | Ant bhala so bhala |
| A mother bowels yearn towards her own child | Aandha bante rewarian apnon hi ko dey |
