The fruits of labour are sweeter than the gifts of fortuneApne haton k bal bal jaye jesa chahe wesa khaye
Self-praise is no recommendation Apne munh mian mithu banna
Birds of a feather flock togetherpani se pani mile or kech se kech/ chor ka bhai jaib katra
Agues come on horseback, but go away on footAati he hati k pair(foot) jati he chunti k pair(foot)
Do not leave till tomorrow what you can do today/ better today than tomorrow Aaj he so kal nahi , aaj ka kaam kal par mat choro
Think of the present and to-morrow will take care of its selfAaj ki aaj k sath kal ki kal k sath
Between the hand and lips, the morsel may sleepAaj meri shagun kal mera beyah- toot gai mangani rah gaya beyah
God cures and the doctor gets the creditAcha kare Khuda naam doctor ka
To rob peter to pay paulAhmed ki pagri mehmood key sar
Manners makethe manIkhlaq se admi banta he
Kindness begets kindnessIkhlaq se ikhlaq barhta he
Love begets lovePiyar se piyar barhta he
Covetousness bursts the bag (Catch at the shadow, and lost the substance, grasp all, lose all)Adhi chorna sari dahai adhi rahe na sari paye
Among men some are jewels and some are pebbles (there is a great difference between man and man)Admi admi me antar koi hera koi kanker
Between the devil and deep sea (to be between two fires)idhar kowan-udhar khai
 Mankind is liable to errAdmi ne akhir tu kacha hi dodh piya he
 To err is humanAdmi wajib-e-khata kar he
Better go to bed supper-less then rise in debtUdhar khaney se bhooka para rehna acha he
