| Poverty is a great sin | Nadari sub se bara gunah hai |
| A bad work man quarrels with his tools | Nach na jane angan tera |
| A good name keep its luster in the dark | Naami shah kama khaye naami chor mara jaye |
| Sue a beggar and get a louse | Nanga khara ujar main Koi kapre le |
| Always choose the lesser evil | Nangi bhali k change paon |
