An old man is twice a child/Many little make a mickle | Borha or bala barabar hote hen |
Hunger finds no fault with the cook/ All is good in hunger | Bhooke ko kia rookha kia sookha |
Hunger makes short the devotion | Bhooke bhjan na ho |
He fattens on the bread of charity | Bhook k tookare bazar main dakar |
A hungry man is an angry man | Bhooka so rookha |
A hungry man smells meat from a distance | Bhooke ko door se khoshbo aati he |
The dust raised by sheep does not choke the wolf | Bhaiye ki laat ghootne tak |
The good and pure will all endure | Bhale maans ki har tarhan kharabi |
Appearance are often deceitful | Bharak bhari khisia khali |
Do good, have good | Bhalai kar bhala hoga |
A neighbor is better than a brother at a distance | Bhai door, parosi nere |
To advice the ass is a waste of time | Bhens k aagy been baje bhens khari ghabray |
Make hey while the sun shines | Bhte darya main hath dho lo |
No gains without pains | Be-mushakhat lazat hasil nahi hoti |
Grief makes one hour ten | Bemar ki raat pahar barabar |
Great minds and great fortunes do not always go together | Be-honar masand nasheen, asal honar dar dar kharab |
Life without employment is an ague | Bekari bad tar , az bemari |
It is an ill wind that blows nobody good/ A clean conscience fears no accusation | Be-faiz yousuf sani he tu kia he |
